I am M.A. student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Florida. I am interested in how we can connect Indigenous language communities with statistical, computational, and linguistic specialists in ways that promote revitalization and community-driven research. Consequently, my areas of academic interest include language documentation and revitalization, endangered language lexicography, and applied linguistics in general.

As a researcher in the Machine Learning for Endangered Language Documentation (MELD) Lab @ UF, I have worked on developing the Digital Language Consultancy which provides data services for Indigenous language community projects. This work connects students in linguistics and programming with language communities, facilitating service learning, future collaboration, and language resource creation.

As a Filipino-American, I am also interested in the languages of the Philippines, including my heritage languages Tagalog and Ilokano. I hope too that, directly or indirectly, my work will support the revival of the many languages of the Philippines.
